SLIP DISC / PIVD/ BACKACHE - Severe Pain where Surgery was being considered as only answer.

I am a Journalist and working in a satellite news channel. It was in the year 2004 in the month of August, I had joined a news channel and was working non stop for hours. In few days I developed mild pain in my lower back. I ignored it thinking it to be a result of continuous sitting and stress. One day in morning I was entering my office and opened the front office door of my office for entering. I don’t know what happened but I fell down with acute pain in my lower back. I was rushed to a near by clinic where I was administered a pain killer and a sedative injection and was moved to my residence. I was thinking that the pain will reside in few hours and will be able to go to my office the next day. But after I woke up the pain was getting more serious. I consulted a ortho, who after initial investigations and X-Ray, attributed the pain towards mild slip disk. He gave some tablets and adviced rest. The very next day the pain, instead of diminishing, flared up. Then I was administered an injection in my spine. The pain diminished but never finished. I was on bed for almost 4-5 days, with little or less improvement. It was then my father in law suggested the name of Dr Gupta, a homeopath for treatment. I gave a mild smile and argued that what allopathic cant do how homeopathy will do. I had always considered homeopathy to be a slow method of treatment. But after much persuation by him I visited Dr. Gupta in his Rajouri Garden clinic. Dr. Gupta took all the details and suggested MRI to assertain the damage done and also gave some purias ( homoeopathic medicine in packets), which helped in reducing the pain in couple of hours. I got the MRI done and the radiologist explained what slip disk ment and how in my case it was very serious ads normally patitents have 2 slip disks, mine were 3. She also told me that one of the disk was pressing a nerve, that can result in paralysis. She also suggested immediate operation and the only remedy of the problem. I took the report to Dr. Gupta. He saw the report and and adviced some exercises and again gave liquid and lots of purias. He was very critical on improving life style and regular medication for almost three months. I followed his instructions and took the medicine regularly. It was first time in my life span of 32 years I developed faith in a homeopath and homeopathy. It took almost 22 days to recover partially. I was in hard bed all these days. I joined my office after that and it took almost two months for 95% recovery. I attribute my recovery to Dr. Gupta.
