Meghachandra Singh MLA and Awangbow Newmei MLA from Manipur were among those who were honoured with Bharat Excellence Award . The award was given to them for their outstanding extraordinary achievement in their chosen field of activity and services rendered to promote greater friendship & India International cooperation. The award carried a gold medal and a certificate.
